Delete Account & Data

Your data, your choice. We respect your right to control your personal information. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

How to Delete Your Account

You have two options to delete your Journeymate account and all associated data:

Option 1: Delete from Within the App (Recommended)

1Open the Journeymate app

2Go to Settings (tap the gear icon)

3Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"

4Confirm your decision when prompted

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, send an email to:

Please include the email address associated with your Journeymate account in your request.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, we will permanently remove:

Account Information: Your email address and authentication credentials
Conversation History: All chat messages and coaching sessions
User Preferences: App settings, themes, and personalization data
Usage Analytics: Any usage data associated with your account
Goals and Progress: Any goals, commitments, or progress tracking data

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Once your account is deleted, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.

Processing Timeline

In-app deletion: Immediate

Email requests: Processed within 30 days

After deletion is processed, it may take up to 90 days for all data to be removed from our backup systems.

Data Retention Exceptions

In rare cases, we may retain certain information as required by law, including:

Records required for legal compliance or regulatory purposes
Information needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements
Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you
